Prices among moving companies can vary dramatically across the UK. Companies who offer low prices, often do so at the expense of insurance and experience. Other companies are known to over charge by upselling spurious services or adding hidden costs.
Our prices hit the competitive sweet spot. We’re experienced removalists and we don’t take shortcuts with our clients possessions. Our prices may vary through the year due to seasonal demand or updates to our services. The following is a rough price guide based on research by Which.co.uk and the Home Owners Alliance.
Domestic removals are the mainstay of removal companies. The following table outlines general prices for local moves, also defined as jobs within a 20 mile radius. A grand piano, flights of stairs or other bespoke challenges will be noted in your overall quote.

International Removals demand a particular set of skills and tariffs. Removals Direct are not currently offering a service for removals by sea or air. We do drive to over 30 countries within Europe. As you would expect, driving to the far reaches of Europe will cost more than driving to Paris. Here’s a rough price guide:

Many removalists upsell packing services to clients. The cost of this service may vary depending on the materials a company uses, the volume and fragility of items. In the event a client has antiques or expensive electronic items a purpose built wooden crate can be provided.

In the event your removalist offers cheap prices, you may want to question their level of experience and ensure they carry adequate insurance. A man with a van service is distinctly different from an established moving firm and will be priced as such.
